Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then completed an internal medicine internship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon the internship’s completion, Dr. Smith went on to complete a residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center and Temple University Hospital and then completed a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Smith is Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Maryland D.C. Society of Clinical Oncology, and American Society of Clinical Oncology. He serves as a board member at large of Therapeutics and Research in Oncology.
